Write your Neon Literature

"The city is always the colour of neon
Secret messages hidden there
The pity is only, you’re wearing a mask
No way to know if it’s you that’s speaking"

Excerpts from “Cityscape” by Yesi (translated by Brian Holton)

The criss-crossing neon signs on Hong Kong streets form a unique cityscape. Local poet Yesi employs a refreshing and pure language in his poems, going through the city lit by neon light, expressing his sentiments towards the present Hong Kong.

Let’s put away our cameras and take up our pens, crystallising the glittering moment with words, and outlining the creative neon with imagination.
